1.   Cateringbasics.net is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you.  We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in the UK. The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we collect and how we may use it. 

2.   When you order, we need to know your name, address and contact email address and telephone number. This allows us to process and fulfil your order. You have the option to withhold personal information that is not required for the order process.

3.   We use your personal information only in reference to processing and despatching your order or when we have a promotion that may be relevant to you.

4.   We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons.

5.   We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation.

We do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it.  In order to maintain the accuracy of our database, you can check and update your personal details by using the 'Account' section of the shop when you are logged in. Alternatively, or to remove your details completely, you can email us at admin@cateringbasics.net with your request.

6.   Our shop will store a small cookie on your computer to tell us if you are a prior customer. This means you will not need to re-enter certain information every time you visit the shop. This cookie can only be read by our shop and cannot profile your system or collect information from your hard drive. Most online retailers use cookies in this way. We do not use this cookie to store credit card numbers, address information or any other personal information. If you disable cookies you will be able to browse the store but you will need to enable them to add items to your basket.

7.   In order to process credit/debit card transactions, the bank or card processing agency may require to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the EEA (European Economic Area).  Your information will not be transferred outside the EEA for any other purpose.
